In Taiwan

The Western calendar year, needed because Taiwan officially counts years from 1912 — 民國115年 is 西元2026. The mainland says 公元.

Example

民國一百年就是西元二〇一一年。

Mínguó yì bǎinián jiùshì xīyuán èr líng yì yì nián

ROC year 100 is 2011 in the Western calendar.

Keep 西元 and it comes back until you know it.
