In Taiwan the ordinary word for a computer program — 寫程式 is to code, and a programmer is a 程式設計師. The mainland uses 程序, which in Taiwan mainly means "procedure".

Example

他最近開始學寫程式。

tā zuìjìn kāishǐ xué xiě chéngshì

He recently started learning to code.
